Let’s dive into the most magical music festival all the time! Magnetic Fields Festival, organized in Rajasthan, India, shows us the breathtaking flow of culture of Rajasthan and underground music trends. It is impossible not to feel like in another planet while enjoying tasteful music, the unique ambiance of the Alsisar Mahal, built in the 17th century, and the incredible beauty of the desert.
Magnetic Fields was introduced by Abhimanyu Alsisar in 2013. Since that date, this festival has been celebrated every year in December. Due to COVID-19 and the pandemic, they have stopped the celebrations for 3 years, unfortunately. This year, Magnetic Fields will be celebrated for the 8th time on 9-10-11 December.
The festival specifies different themes for every year. After the break and the effects that have occurred from COVID-19, this year’s theme has been announced as “Reconnection”. The theme symbolizes the broken relations and the reunion we all experienced after the pandemic.
Why is Magnetic Fields always popular with its unique ambiance? Because you will be spending your time at the former kings’ palace! Alsisar Mahal has a breathtaking view and atmosphere while it unites with the new generation, underground, and creative music. There is a lovely garden in the middle of the palace, and guests dance, meditate, do yoga, stargaze and, most importantly, have fun under the stars. Also, the festival area is very diverse and satisfying for the guests because there will be many delicious food and beverage counters, art and yoga workshops, and limitless good music. Plus, do not forget that that are many mini-stages and secret parties that people can attend only if they are lucky 😉
There is no chance of not being impressed by the festival area’s architecture and ambiance. You will be surrounded by antique furniture, ancient ruins, frescoes, and carved poster beds throughout the festival. With the location in the middle of the desert, it is a little hard to reach but still worth it all.
While we mentioned the location, here comes another crucial side of a festival. Accommodation! The visitors have options for accommodation. You can book a room in that gorgeous palace (but of course, they are sold out really fast), or you can bring your tent for camping/rent from the festival area.
The stages of Magnetic Fields have been organized according to the different themes that they wanted to highlight. The 8 stages carry the event, and they are all different in the manner of architecture and ambiance.
Jameson Connects South Stage is where the most exciting acts in electronic music perform on the palace lawns, creating the most memorable shows.
BUDx North Stage has become a venue where upcoming artists may shine alongside rising legends throughout time.
Ray-Ban Desert Oasis cranks up the energy right away, making it perfect for people who can’t get enough of sweating out to four-to-the-floor music.
